Weathered steel (Corten) pavilion & canopy
AIP constructed the Ticket Pavilion at the Nationaal Openlucht Museum as a modern entrance point comprised of two prefabricated sections fabricated at the Royal IHC shipyards and assembled onsite. The pavilion is build with a structural skin made entirely from weathered steel (Corten), giving it a robust and distinct appearance that complements the natural surroundings.
This design not only serves a practical purpose for ticketing but also enhances the visitor experience with its contemporary aesthetic. AIP's commitment to quality and precision allowed for a seamless integration of this pavilion into the museum's atmosphere, creating a welcoming and functional space for visitors.
